How does the trial work?

WeBenchmark offers a free 30 day trial enabling you to evaluate all areas of the service before deciding on a subscription plan (optional). Upon registration, you will get access to the WeBenchmark Account interface where a trial normally includes the following steps:

  1. Preview of how the invitation layer and survey will appear on your website.
  2. Implementation of the invitation layer script on your website (copy/paste the code provided by WeBenchmark).
  3. View report upon completion of data collection / interviewing (the trial includes up to 50 complete responses / interviews).

Who will be invited to complete the survey?

The invitation layer script (which is added to all pages of your website) ensures that the invitation layer is displayed to every "n" visitor (by random) to your website (e.g. to every 100 visitor). The invitation frequency ("n") will automatically be adjusted based on the number of visitors per month and the response rate to meet your 'completed interviews' target per month. Example:

Note: A cookie is placed in the visitor's browser ensuring that the same person is not invited mulitple times.

Are my results confidential?

Yes, the results of your website are strictly confidential and will not be disclosed to third party without your permission.

Are visitors answering the survey anonymously?

Yes, people complete the survey anonymously and are in no way identified.

How is the benchmark calculated?

For each survey rating question an average score between 1 and 10 is calculated for each website. The benchmark score is the average of all these average website scores. Read more in Website effectiveness methodology explained.
